A workshop on the basics of Microcontroller  was organized by IEEE BUET Student Branch and IEEE RAS BUET SB Chapter in association with Notre Dame Information Technology (IT) Club at Notre Dame College, Dhaka. 22 teams consisting of ninety enthusiastic students participated in the event. The joy and enthusiasm of the participants were inspiring.

The workshop was conducted by Satyaki Banik, Chairperson, IEEE BUET Student Branch, Subrata Biswas, Treasurer, IEEE BUET Student Branch, Nayeeb Rashid, Vice-Chairperson (Membership), IEEE BUET Student Branch, Mumtahina Islam Sukanya, Publicity Executive, IEEE BUET Student Branch and Mir Sayeed Mohammad, Workshop Coordinator, IEEE RAS BUET SB Chapter. They introduced the participants to the basics of arduino and the versatile world of arduino projects. Many interesting topics like Arduino IDE, LED, LDR, Sonar, bluetooth module, IR sensor, motor driver etc were discussed at length to give the participants a foundational idea of using Arduino to accomplish a number of tasks. Lastly students were given guidelines as to how they can pursue their interest in robotics for future endeavors.

The workshop was part of the outreach programs of IEEE BUET SB to pre-university institutions, such as- schools & colleges. We would like to take the opportunity of thanking Notre Dame Information Technology Club for hosting such a wonderful program and inviting us to be a part of it. Special thanks goes to the volunteers from Notre Dame Information Technology Club without whom the workshop would not have been possible.
