IEEE IAS Distinguished Lecture Program

IEEE IAS Bangladesh Section Chapter and IEEE Bangladesh Section along with IEEE BUET Student Branch and IEEE IAS BUET Student Branch Chapter successfully arranged IEEE Industry Applications Society Distinguished Lecture Program 2019. The program was scheduled at 10 am, December 1, 2019 at the Department of EEE, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh. 

Professor Dr. Celia Shahnaz welcomed everyone and initiated the session by introducing the distinguished lecturer for the day, Professor Dr. Ronghai Qu of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China. So, starting at 10 am, Dr. Ronghai Qu started his talk on Flux modulation Machines.

In his lecture he described the advantages of Flux modulation Machines due to its higher torque density. High torque density electrical machines have been a popular research area due to the recent surge of demands for machines in high torque applications. Thus machines having innovative topologies are being investigated to meet that end. Flux modulation machines are one such class of machines that have garnered significant attention due to its high torque characteristics.

The session ended with a group photo of the attendees with the lecturer and organizers. The Head of the department of EEE, BUET presented the concluding remarks and thanked the lecturer as well as the attendees for attending the session.
